DOE PARKER

(HE/HIM)

My name is Doe (he/him) and I’m in the process of getting a license in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. I offer therapy from an antiracist, anticapitalist, disability-centered, queer/trans-affirming lens. I have a mutual aid background related to prison abolition, sex work, disability, and trans healthcare.

I want to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship that meets you where you’re at. I have an informal/friendly vibe with clients and believe that it takes time to build trust in therapy. It’s important to me that our work together be consent-focused, non-judgmental, and include feedback on what is and isn’t working for you.

I’m compatible with individuals/relationships looking to deepen their sense of self, create and maintain boundaries, and set short and longer-term goals. I’m interested in working with clients that value an abolitionist and anti-oppressive lens being brought into their healing work. I believe that healing happens in relationships/community and encourage healthy conflict.

Topics and demographics I’m especially interested in:

Neurodivergent/autistic people

Executive functioning

Sensory-related accommodation for neurodivergent folks

Nonmongamy/polyamory/monogamy

Individual or relational work

Trans/queer clients, (especially knowledgeable about medical transition)

C-PTSD

Nervous system regulation

Somatic work

Trauma/shame from Evangelical Christian spaces

I am covid-cautious and see clients through telehealth.
