Psychotherapist

Location: Remote (WA state) and/or Hybrid of Remote and In-Person (Seattle and Bellingham locations)
Reports to: The MTS Leadership Team
JOB POSITION OVERVIEW
The psychotherapist position is responsible for providing services to clients that can include counseling, psychoeducation, treatment planning, case management (including knowledge of and responsibility for accurate OON billing procedures and requirements), consultations, referrals and more. The therapist will be responsible for the development of therapeutic interventions that are appropriate to client needs and goals as well as developing effective strategies to achieve them. This position also encourages the psychotherapist to actively participate in the Modern Therapy Seattle team meetings and opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide psychotherapy services to clients (individuals and/or couples & families) within scope of practice and in accordance with association’s ethical guidelines.
2. Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and best practices for psychological treatment.
3. Maintain an average of fifteen (15) clients per week.
4. Strong organization skills to maintain up-to-date records & payments in accordance with employment expectations and contract obligations.
5. Ensure compliance with CEU licensure requirements and maintain personal record-keeping.
6. Ensure understanding of and compliance with Modern Therapy Seattle Group Practice policies as outlined in employee handbook.
7. Familiarity with privacy, health and safety laws including HIPAA compliance and licensure maintenance.
8. Operate with a high level of integrity and client record-keeping accuracy.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
10. Computer skills to operate record keeping, scheduling, email and word processing software.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or comparable area of study.
● Up to date license, in good standing, with no previous problems.
● Commitment to an anti-oppressive, social justice-oriented practice, both in words and actions.
● Collaborative and team oriented.
● Computer literacy required (MS Softwares, Simple Practice, Google Suite, etc.)
